Skreemr – “the Google of Audio”
Posted by Luigi on June 21, 2007
Oh yes, another audio finder has been added to the short-to-medium list of audio downloaders. Ilavitverymuch. Just like the legendary audiogalaxy, you search for music using the web and download it using your browser or your download manager.
You maybe wondering why use Skreemr if there is Limewire, or WinMX, or IRC channels, or BitTorrent. Well, its because Skreemr is legal and its for free. It doesnt need Java to run. You do not have to install or set up ANYTHING. It just needs a browser. Yes, an internet browser. Type in skreemr.com, seach for a song, and click and download. Just so simple.
People who are in urgent need of a song but doesnt have any mp3 downloader in their laptops will really benefit from this great, great service.
Im not really knowledgable when it comes to all the technical stuff behind, but as far as I can tell, I really really REALLY love it. You do not have to leech from other users like Limewire and other downloaders, and you do not have to seed for your download speed to go high up. You just download it from the server directly using http or ftp.
So for my conclusion, Skreemr-rocks-BIGTIME.

sus wala namang japanese/korean songs sa skreemr e. I’d rather use LimeWire for foreign stuff, but skreemr works for more well-known a.k.a. normal songs. Haha. @@ I use BitTorrent for most Japanese releases although I don’t listen to Korean most of the time. *otaku-note: Manga is much available through direct download although there are many scanlation groups who only release sa IRC. And IRC is more for underground releases although it sucks that you’re so virus-prone pag-IRC.*
note parin: you don’t exactly need to seed when you’re downloading. you can’t even seed unless you’re done downloading. @@ The downloading speed only depends on your (1) internet connection and (2) the number of seeds you are connected to. I do not know of any tracker that decreases users’ download speeds if they did not meet the required upload/download ratio.

-yes, yun nga lang mahirap maghanap ng japanese/korean songs. pero ako naman i dont listen to those kind of songs e. c=
-yes you do not have to, but that would be too unfair if you leech yet you dont seed. have a considerate heart naman to those who seed for you. dont just be a taker, be a giver. but i didnt know you can stop the seeding in torrent clients, or maybe wala lang sa utorrent. and ofcourse you can seed while downloading. sino nagsabi you cant seed unless you’re done? =P

well, may mga leechers talaga sa mundong ito, katulad ko. [just accept that fact luis. hahaha. there has to be that balance between good and evil.
) ] i only seed kung required sa ratio or wala lang talaga akong magawa.
i think you can set it to not seed while downloading. i know pwede un sa utorrent although it may affect your download speed ata. ewan ko. never tried it.
yes, thanks for the correction, but it’ll only seed much faster after downloading. as in seeeeeeeed talaga.

-ang alam ko kasi how much you upload will affect your download speed e. nabasa ko un sa guides and faqs about torrents sa internet.
-you dont have to set your upload bandwidth to the maximum. mine, i just set it to 5KBps. but take note, your upload speed will achieve its maximum speed but will slow down your download speed.
so think of it like this, UL > DL.

What i meant was that as in after you download, all it would do is to seed so bibilis ang seeding. @@ It annoys me when the torrent seeds while downloading kasi minsan naiirita na ako na hindi na natatapos magdownload kasi upload ng uload…!!! >
